Our Matariki Events for 2025

Dawn Event - Cancelled -Friday 20th of June

Unfortunately owing to poor weather we are cancelling our morning Matariki viewings this Friday and Saturday (backup) mornings 20th and 21st. Looking at the forecast it seems unlikely we’ll be able to see much so we hope for good weather in 2026.

Evening Lecture: Matariki Lecture Moved to 2nd July (Public Night)

7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us for a lecture on the history and astronomy of Matariki at 7:30 pm on Wednesday the 2nd of July. The lecture will be delivered by Richard Croy (committee member of the Hamilton Astronomical Society).
