Basic Introduction to Black Holes

We will begin the evening with any HAS news, followed by a short 20 min (approx.) talk introducing black holes. After the talk a game of true or false, where we will divide into 2 or 3 teams and decide which one of three statements or news items (about black holes) is false and which two are true. We’ll break for hot drinks and biscuits, then sit down for answers! If the weather is clear, and we have anyone available to operate telescopes, we may get these out for some viewing.
